Shawnee Mission Park was the most perfect location for Schyler and Rachel’s wedding day. They got married at the Theatre in the Park Pavilion, a beautiful outdoor location in the middle of the park. They both chose to have a private “first look” moment at one of the beautiful bridges, and it was the sweetest moment. Rachel had to walk quite a way down a walking path to see her groom and you could see how excited she was. Good thing she had those cowboy boots on for that walk! After they saw one another, they didn’t want to leave each others sight the whole night. Rachel and Schyler have such an honest and playful way of loving each other, and I think it really shows in their photographs.
I just loved all of the little touches they incorporated into their day. They had yard games set up in different locations, a giant Jenga game, and tons of amazing desserts!
After their ceremony, the sun started to go down and a fire was lit in the huge stone fireplace…. all ready for the ‘Smores they had for their guests! Now THAT is the perfect way to kick off a reception! I couldn’t have had a better time with these two and I’m so glad they choose me to document their special day.
