Kansas City Wedding Photographer | Mark Twain Ballroom Wedding | Brittany and Zach

June 8, 2017

My favorite thing to see on a wedding day is when a couple lets go of all the anxiousness and stress… and just has FUN with each other.  That is definitely how Brittany and Zach were on their wedding day.  I knew they were going to be a fun couple when we shot their engagement photos at Loose Park and the Plaza last fall.  They were so natural in front of the camera and I loved how they could laugh and be goofy with one another.  The Mark Twain Ballroom in downtown KC was the perfect backdrop for this special day.  With grand ceilings and tons of windows, this ballroom created an elegant atmosphere that fit this wedding perfectly. We took advantage of the new KC Street Car and rode to a few different spots in the city for their photos. This whole wedding party were good sports with all the walking we did around Union Station and the Kauffman Center! I’m so glad it was such a perfect day outside!

Their wedding ceremony inside the ballroom was simply beautiful as the light cascaded through the panes of glass behind them.  You could see the joy on their faces when they were announced as husband and wife! After being announced to their guests from high atop the ballroom balcony, Brittany and Zach had an amazing party at their reception with delicious food and cake, and LOTS of dancing!  I can’t imagine hanging out with a more laid back and fun couple!  Thank you so much Zach and Brittany for allowing me to take part in your wedding day!
